Decodable texts used to have a bad reputation for being super simplistic and boring for students. But thankfully decodable readers have come a long way since then! This list of decodable books features texts with entertaining stories that students will enjoy reading as they practice applying phonics skills.

Several large publishers have started offering high-quality sets of decodable texts. You may want to ask your administrator to purchase these sets for your classroom or your school book room to build a collection of decodable readers for your students!
