Description

The See Think Wonder strategy is ideal for making inferences practice. These digital reading comprehension activities will have students making inferences with pictures in a fun and engaging way.

Students will develop critical thinking skills which can be applied during reading. These engaging digital activities for PowerPoint encourage students to think critically about images. Through these activities, students will begin to make predictions, connections, and inferences.

The activities are intended to be used for whole group or small group instruction led by a teacher instead of for student independent work. They can be used to establish a Picture of the Day/Week routine with students to encourage critical thinking.

• Emotions Pictures: As students view these images, they will identify the specific details that they see/notice. This is the evidence to support their inferences as to how they think the character is feeling.
• Flashlight Pictures: A flashlight animation that only reveals a portion of the image at one time. Students record observations to identify the mystery picture.
• Mystery Pictures: Students take turns removing one puzzle piece at a time to reveal the mystery picture.
